Managers must possess strong technical knowledge of individual and partnership tax planning, consulting and compliance. In addition to the preparation and review of tax returns, Managers participate in identifying client issues and communicating with clients and financial managers. Managers must possess and maintain strong written and oral presentation skills, conduct research on various client issues, and supervise Senior Associates, Experienced Associates and Associates.

Our firm offers competitive base compensation, benefits package, and a discretionary employee bonus program for eligible employees based on individual and firm performance metrics per the defined program guidelines. For individuals hired to work in Orange County, the expected salary range for this role is $118,000 to $187,300; the actual salary offer can vary based upon employee qualifications.

Managers in our Commercial practice oversee multiple engagements for clients that range from multi-national corporations to early stage starts-ups.
Managers can expect to:
- Engage in business development activities (i.e. prepare proposals; present in webinars, collaborate with other service lines to present a comprehensive tax strategy to prospective and current clients, etc.);
- Maintain communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, remain current on legislative changes, and lead change effectively;
- Conduct primary and secondary review of complex tax returns – including federal and state filings;
- Provide ASC 740 tax provision support and review preparation;
- Supervise train, mentor, and evaluate Interns, Associates and Senior Associates; and
- Receive formal corporate tax training, on the job training, direct feedback from top tax leaders, and the opportunity to pursue additional training through internal and external resources.
