Description

Private Accounting Solutions (PAS) Senior Associates participate in the planning and consulting process for a variety of clients, including executives, entrepreneurs and business entities. Senior Associates oversee the work of PAS Associates, providing guidance on complex accounting and financial reporting issues, identifying financial-related issues and performing accounting research with written conclusions. Senior Associates responsibilities include:

  • Supervise the daily accounting and monthly, quarterly financial close and reporting process across multiple engagements
  • Review the work product of Associates on various engagements
  • Mentor and develop Associates 
  • Assist Managers in identifying and researching various client issues and regularly communicate with clients
  • Develop and document and accounting policies, procedures and work papers to strengthen internal controls
  • Client communication which includes reply to questions, provide information and ensure timely follow-up
  • Liaise with Managers to improve operational efficiency

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related degree and/or advanced degree in Accounting
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting
  • CPA or in process desired


Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Must possess strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to work as a team player and promote a cooperative work atmosphere
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to interact with and gain the respect of all levels of internal and client personnel
  • Possess excellent understanding and knowledge of US GAAP and Other Comprehensive Basis of Accounting
  • Initiative to seek out opportunities in a fast-paced environment
  • Efficient in problem solving and decision making
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software including QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics GP
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including vlookup and pivot tables
