Description

Join one of the fastest growing State and Local Tax (SALT) practices in Northern California! The Andersen Tax SALT team serves clients from the Fortune 500 to venture-backed startups and their owners. We are seeking a new member of this multi-faceted team to focus on state income tax consulting, compliance and controversy. Senior Managers need broad exposure to state income tax issues and filings and multistate compliance experience. Deeper knowledge of California income/franchise tax a plus. In addition to working with Andersen Tax teams, Senior Managers participate in identifying client issues and communicating with key client personnel. Senior Managers must possess and maintain strong written and oral presentation skills, conduct research on various client issues, and supervise Senior Associates, Experienced Associates and Associates. 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related degree preferred;
  • Authorization to sign a tax return required (Member of California State Bar or CPA preferred, EA acceptable)
  • At least 4 years relevant work experience, including multistate compliance experience and at least 3 years of State and Local Tax experience;
  • Proficient use of technology including MS Excel and Tax Preparation Software (i.e. GoSystems, OneSource, etc.)
  • Leadership and organizational skills;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
