Valuation Directors must demonstrate the ability to manage and supervise other team members and must possess strong technical knowledge of valuation of all types of businesses and interests, including closely-held businesses, an understanding of tax planning and compliance, financial reporting, acquisitions and mergers, and commercial reorganization. Many of the valuations that are performed may be for marital property disputes such as divorce of high net worth clients and their entities. Valuation Directors develop client service plans, identify and implement opportunities for clients, and manage and supervise other team members.
They are responsible for managing the execution of multiple client engagements, all facets of client issues, and communicating with clients and financial management. Directors must possess and maintain strong written and oral presentation skills and conduct and/or review research on various client issues. Directors must also be able to offer testimony in court in various types of litigation matters dealing with divorce or commercial disputes. Valuation Directors mentor Associates, Senior Associates, and Managers.
