The Role

The US National Tax (USNT) practice provides support and technical leadership on complex tax matters. As a Manager within USNT, you will collaborate with internal teams and our clients on tax structuring, transactions, and reporting. The candidate must possess a solid foundational knowledge of federal income tax and have experience with partnership tax in particular. You will be expected to develop a strong technical and practical knowledge of partnership tax, including as a result of working closely with the USNT partnership team and with engagement teams on complex partnership transactions and in developing technical analyses and positions. In addition, you will be an integral part of developing internal partnership tax trainings and technical updates, as well as engaging in business development activities (prepare proposals, present in webinars, introduce and develop ideas to improve position of clients, etc.) and participating in firm initiatives. The candidate must have strong written and oral presentation skills along with strong analytical, research, and critical thinking skills. Additional duties include participating in the growth and development of junior staff.

 

Compensation and Benefits

 

Our firm offers competitive base compensation, benefits package, and a discretionary employee bonus program for eligible employees based on individual and firm performance metrics per the defined program guidelines. For individuals hired to work in New York, the expected salary range for this role is $115,000 - 204,600; the actual salary offer can vary based upon employee qualifications.

We offer paid time off, beginning at 160 hours annually and provides twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Compensation: In addition to competitive base compensation, our firm offers annual discretionary bonuses based on firm and individual performance, a discretionary long-term cash incentive program, and other forms of discretionary compensation that would be offered to the hired applicant in addition to their established salary range scale.

The Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Advanced credential allowing for client representation before the Internal Revenue Service (i.e. CPA, JD, LLM or MST advanced credential)
  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Broad exposure to federal income taxation, with an emphasis on partnership taxation
  • Leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Self-starter with ability to multitask while working independently
