The Role

Experienced Associates with our State & Local Tax (SALT) practice serve on various engagement teams that support a wide range of clients, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to venture-backed startups.

Experienced Associates in our SALT Property Tax Practice can expect to:

  • Prepare multi-jurisdictional property tax returns, business license and other tax returns;
  • Engage in the state and local planning, consulting and compliance process for multiple clients;
  • Collaborate with SALT Leads and Property Tax groups to pursue a comprehensive multi-jurisdictional strategy;
  • Conduct tax research, write memoranda, and prepare client deliverables; and
  • Receive formal State & Local tax training, on the job training, direct feedback from top tax leaders, and the opportunity to pursue additional training through internal and external resources.

Compensation and Benefits

 

Our firm offers competitive base compensation, benefits package, and a discretionary employee bonus program for eligible employees based on individual and firm performance metrics per the defined program guidelines. For individuals hired to work in San Francisco, the expected salary range for this role is $85,700 to $94,900; the actual salary offer can vary based upon employee qualifications.

Benefits: Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our firm’s 401(k) plan upon hire. We offer paid time off, beginning at 160 hours annually and provides twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Compensation: In addition to competitive base compensation, our firm offers annual discretionary bonuses based on firm and individual performance, a discretionary long-term cash incentive program, and other forms of discretionary compensation that would be offered to the hired applicant in addition to their established salary range scale.

The Requirements

  • 1+ year of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s and/or relevant advanced degree;
    • Accounting, Finance, Economics or related (Preferred)
    • Minimum GPA: 3.0.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities;
  • Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment;
  • Ability to interact with various levels of client and firm management through both written and verbal communication; and
  • Proficient use of technology.
