The Role

Senior Manager, Intangible Asset Services 

 

  • Strategize & Optimize: Develop, refine, and implement strategies to assess, manage, value and unlock the hidden potential of intangible assets such as data and brands. 
  • Client Partnership: Engage directly with C-suite executives to drive transformational engagements focused on intangible asset performance. 
  • Practice Leadership: Build and lead an industry-leading consulting team specializing in intangible asset strategy, management and commercialization. 

 

As a Senior Manager, Intangible Assets Services, you will be a key leader within our Global Consulting Strategy Practice, responsible for helping clients harness the value of their intangible assets. Your role is pivotal in designing and executing enterprise-scale strategies that enhance organizational performance, drive innovation, and secure competitive advantage. You will leverage your deep expertise in management consulting, intangible assets and intellectual property and commercialization to advise C-level stakeholders, lead high-impact projects, and build a best-in-class practice. 

In this role, you will: 

 

  • Drive Strategic Engagements: Work directly with executive leadership to define client needs, develop customized intangible asset strategies and ensure successful implementation across the client’s business. 
  • Lead High-Performing Teams: Mentor and manage a cross-functional team of specialists, fostering an environment of collegiality, innovation and excellence. 
  • Deliver Measurable Impact: Oversee the full lifecycle of engagements from client identification through to execution and performance monitoring, ensuring our solutions drive tangible business outcomes. 
  • Develop and Apply Proprietary Frameworks: Architect robust methodologies for assessing, valuing and monetizing intangible assets such as brands, data, content, regulatory approvals and competitive information.
  • Manage Stakeholder Relationships: Cultivate internal relationships across the Andersen global firm network to utilize available resources to ensure timely and effective project delivery and identify new engagement opportunities. 

 

Compensation and Benefits

 

Our firm offers competitive base compensation, benefits package, and a discretionary employee bonus program for eligible employees based on individual and firm performance metrics per the defined program guidelines. For individuals hired to work in Chicago, the expected salary range for this role is $153,660 - $288,400; the actual salary offer can vary based upon employee qualifications.

We offer paid time off, beginning at 160 hours annually and provides twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Compensation: In addition to competitive base compensation, our firm offers annual discretionary bonuses based on firm and individual performance, a discretionary long-term cash incentive program, and other forms of discretionary compensation that would be offered to the hired applicant in addition to their established salary range scale.

The Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

 

  • Educational Background: A strong academic foundation in business, economics and /or law or intellectual property.  
  • Proven Expertise: Deep experience in the assessment, management and commercialization of intangible assets or intellectual property. 
  • Strategic Vision: Deep understanding of how intangible assets drive business growth and competitive differentiation, combined with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable strategies. 
  • Executive Presence: A demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and build trust with C-level stakeholders by delivering high-impact strategy and implementation engagements. 
  • Leadership Acumen: A track record of managing and developing high-performing teams, with a strategic mindset and hands-on approach to problem-solving. 
  • Strong Communicator: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences. 
  • Analytical Prowess: Strong quantitative and qualitative skills to create and deploy innovative frameworks and analytical models. 

 

It would also be beneficial if you have: 

 

  • Experience with financial modelling and valuation techniques, especially those specific to intangible assets. 
  • A professional qualification or work experience in intellectual property such as a patent or trademark attorney qualification.
